MyJamm is a one-time-buy recipe book that turns photos, pasted text, and recipe URLs into clean recipes you can save, edit, cook from, and share.

I built MyJamm because I once lost access to my own recipes.
I had trusted another recipe site to keep them safe. Then the subscription model changed, and the recipes I uploaded were gone.
MyJamm is built on a simple idea: your recipes should stay yours.

How It Works
However your recipe exists right now, MyJamm can take it in.
Paste the text
From a document, note, email, or website.
Take or upload a photo
Of a cookbook page, recipe card, handwritten note, or clipping.
Drop in a URL
MyJamm pulls out just the recipe.
We only capture the recipe, not the surrounding article or blog content.

What You Get
MyJamm does more than save a recipe. It gets you ready to cook it — and helps you get better at it every time.
Clean ingredients and step-by-step instructions
No more hunting through a blog post for the actual recipe.
Advance prep called out before you begin
So nothing catches you off guard mid-cook.
Substitutions for hard-to-find ingredients
Suggested before you start.
Serving size adjustments
Scale up or down, Imperial or Metric.
Fully editable recipe cards
Change anything, anytime. It's your recipe, after all.
Secret recipe? No problem
You can lock any recipe from public view.

Cook Mode & Cook Journal
Once your recipe is in, MyJamm guides you through it — step by step, hands-free. Perfect your recipe over time, or maintain different versions for different tastes (the spicy version!) or dietary restrictions (dairy free).
Full-screen Cook Mode
One step at a time, no scrolling with sticky or wet fingers, screen stays on.
Voice commands
Say "next step", "repeat that", or "set a timer" without touching your phone.
Timers auto-detected from instructions
Tap to start any timer directly from the step that mentions it.
Mise en place checklist before you begin
Check off your prep as you go so nothing gets missed.
Cook Journal — log changes as you cook
Say or type "added extra garlic" or "reduced salt by half" and MyJamm captures it.
Rate each cook: Better, Same, or Worse
Every cook is saved with your notes, so you always know what worked and what didn't.
Cook from any version you've made
Start from the version you already improved, not the original.
“I like adjusting recipes based on what I have available, what my family likes, and what feels right when I'm actually cooking. Now I can log each version and compare results, so when the kids ask ‘can you make it like you did at Christmas?’ I can go back and see exactly what I did differently.”

Pricing
A recipe import means MyJamm reads the recipe from a photo, pasted text, or URL and turns it into a clean, editable recipe card. Saved recipes are always accessible to you and never behind a paywall. Imports are only used when you add a new recipe.

one-time purchase
Most home cooks never need more than 100 recipes.
If you do, top up anytime. Your saved recipes are never held behind a paywall.

“I have hundreds of recipes. Hand written, typed, and clipped out of magazines, filed in 5 different boxes. My son's app now makes adding recipes, finding, and sharing them a snap. His wife and I pressured him to make it available for you, so do us a favour and give it a try.”
— Claudia, David's mom
Why I built MyJamm
I had uploaded them to a well-known recipe website and trusted the service to keep them safe. Then the site changed its subscription model. I didn't want to pay the higher price, so I was locked out.
Eventually, former subscribers were allowed back in for free, but my uploaded recipes had been deleted. The recipes I had saved from the site were still locked behind a subscription.
These were my recipes. I had trusted someone else to protect them. That should not happen to anyone.
So I built MyJamm.
First, I built it for myself. Then my mom wanted it. Then my aunt. Then their friends started asking. That's when Meltem said:
“Make an app. Lots of people could use this.”
So I did.
